Breadsall Priory
Breadsall Priory started out life as a Monastery in 1260 and evolved during the Reign of Queen Elizabeth I into a country manor house, with oak panelled library and even a minstrels gallery. Located in Derbyshire, the building, set in 400 acres of beautiful countryside, and boasting two golf courses, is now a hotel and Grade II listed building owned and run by the Marriott Hotels group.
PE Comms was approached in 1999 to install UTP and fibre optic backbone cabling throughout the complex. This was a very sensitive project, due to the age of the Priory, the constraints of the building being Grade II listed, and also due to the Hotel remaining open throughout the works.
Our
engineers worked around the hotel's day to day business to ensure no disruption
was caused to any guests, or to the running of the Hotel.
Gaining the trust and respect of the Management they carried out the install
to the highest standards and completing the project just less than two weeks early earned them the offer of a free round of golf!
Air Diffusion
Part of the Ruskin Organisation (owned by Tomkins PLC), Air Diffusion, based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire and Hatfield, Hertfordshire, are manufacturers of grilles, diffusers and dampers for the Architectural market.
PE Comms was first called upon back in 1997 when Air Diffusion was still using a Thin Ethernet system in their offices and factory areas. Over the years we have helped them convert to a Cat 5 System, adding various new outlets at both their Bridgnorth and Hatfield premises, dramatically speeding up their computer automation
PE Comms were recently called upon to build a special link cable for the Bridgnorth premises to allow a hand held device to be used on the factory floor. The addition of this link now allows goods to be scanned and booked out from the stock control area, saving even more time for their employees and customers.
Panalpina
Panalpina are a major air freight company who have offices at every major airport, distributing goods worldwide. In April 2000 they were re-locating to larger premises at Prestwick Airport, and asked PE Comms to design and install an integrated Voice and Data network for their offices and depot at this location.
We liaised closely with their IT dept to offer a cabling solution that would give them the performance of Giga speed and flexibility to allow for extra users and re-locations, voice ext moves etc
Panalpina were so pleased they asked P E Comms to design and install integrated cabling systems at their other UK Offices, including Birmingham, Sheffield, Dublin, Aberdeen, Glasgow and London (Heathrow).
Creating no disruption to their day to day business our engineers skilfully installed the required Voice, Data and power outlets at each location, allowing them to bridge the gap in their UK Network and helping them make their business work more profitably and efficiently.
